TKUJP invited Dr Ariel Ling-chun Liu to give a lecture. (Mar. 18, 2024)

Dr. Ariel Ling-chun, researcher at Research Center for Human Rights, Osaka Metropolitan University, gave a lecture to TKUJP master’s students. The lecture was titled  ‘Seeking “Comrades” in East Asia: Gender Movements in Japan and Taiwan as seen from the interpreters’ viewpoint. The students in the course taught by Dr. Tomita Akira ( “Linguistics during Japanese Colonial Period”) had just studied on interpreters during the period and discussed what it means to be an interpreter under the colonial rule, so his lecture was very timely and quite impressive for them.
